Ingredients



  • 16 oz. Kunzler Ham, diced
  • 2 T. Butter
  • 1 Small white onion
  • 2 C. Chicken broth
  • 14 oz. Cheese tortellini
  • 10.5 oz. Peas, frozen
  • ½ C. Heavy cream
  • 2 T. Cornstarch
  • 1 C. Italian cheese blend, shredded

Directions



Step 1

Dice ham and set aside

Step 2

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add onions cook until softened and add ham cook additional 4 minutes.

Step 3

Add chicken broth, tortellini, salt & pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

Step 4

Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover for 10 minutes until tortellini are tender.

Step 5

Combine heavy cream and cornstarch in a separate bowl.

Step 6

Stir in peas, then the heavy cream mix. Continue mixing until thickens.

Step 7

Add half the shredded cheese, save some to sprinkle on top when serving. Portion into bowls, top with remaining cheese.
