Ingredients



  • 16 ounces Kunzler Ham, diced

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 each small white onion
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 14 ounces cheese tortellini
  • 10.5 ounce peas, frozen
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup Italian cheese blend, shredded

Directions



Step 1

Dice ham and set aside

Step 2

Melt butter in large saucepan. Add onions cook until softened and add ham cook additional 4 minutes.

Step 3

Add chicken broth, tortellini, salt & pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

Step 4

Bring to a boil, cover and reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes until tortellini are tender.

Step 5

Combine heavy cream and cornstarch. Stir in peas, then the heavy cream mix. Continue mixing until thickens.

Step 6

Add half the shredded cheese, save some to sprinkle on top when serving.

Step 7

Portion into bowls, top with remaining cheese.
