This brittle is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth! With Kunzler bacon on top, we like to think we’ve improved grandma’s recipe.

Ingredients
- 1 lb. Kunzler Original Bacon
- 1 C. & 3 T. Brown Sugar
- 2 T Butter
- ½ C. Corn Syrup (Not High Fructose)
- ½ C. Water
- 1 t. Vanilla
- 1 t. Baking Soda
- 1 t. Sea Salt (optional)
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 F. Lay out strips of bacon on sheet tray. Bake for 8 minutes, pull from oven and sprinkle sugar on top.
Step 2
Bake an additional 6-8 minutes until bacon is crispy and caramelized. Chop into bite sized pieces, set aside.
Step 3
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 4
Measure all ingredients and set aside. Begin cooking the brown sugar and butter, stir until completely dissolved bring to boil.
Step 5
Continue cooking without stirring until mix reaches 290 F. Being extremely careful stirring in the remaining ingredients and pouring out onto prepared sheet pan.
Step 6
Spread out in an even thin layer, and sprinkle with sea salt (optional).
Step 7
Cool 25 minutes. Once the brittle is completely set, break into bite sized pieces and enjoy.
